Teachings 3

Perspectives 1

  • Life is precious and families show incredible resilience even after devastating loss - the best justice is living vibrant meaningful lives

Ethan Chapin was one of IVF triplets, and Kaylee's sister Olivia gave birth to a daughter in room 1113 at 4 AM on November 13th - the same date and time as the murders

Quotable Moments 3

  • There's a huge difference between being vigilant about your own safety and living in abject terror. I don't think that's where you wanna be.

    Rosanne Austin
  • We can't rely on government to fix all of our problems at all the time... you have no idea who's investigating your case.

    Rosanne Austin
  • The best justice is that family going on to live vibrant lives, to go on and do meaningful things... the only way to honor something for my family would be to live big.

Questions This Video Answers

How was Brian Kohberger caught in the Idaho murders case

He made one critical and crucial mistake, luckily for the victims... he either lost, dropped, left behind, forgot whatever the sheath to that knife and left it on the bed next to Kaylee and Maddie.

Rosanne Austin

Kohberger was caught through a combination of witness description, vehicle identification, cell phone data showing 23 visits to the area, and DNA evidence from a knife sheath he left at the scene. His white Hyundai Elantra was spotted on camera leaving at 4:17 AM.

Why didn't the surviving roommates call 911 immediately after the Idaho murders

Wouldn't our confirmation bias much rather explain that away as somebody's joking and playing, or would it automatically go to four people who've just been murdered?

Rosanne Austin

Dylan, the surviving roommate, likely experienced trauma responses and confirmation bias - it was easier to explain away strange sounds as roommates playing rather than assume four people had been murdered. She eventually went to sleep with another roommate and they called 911 eight hours later.
